Put simply, goal is to build test and fly a modern but look-alike replica of the Bristol M1C Monoplane, "Red Devil" as housed in the Captain Harry Butler Memorial museum in Minlaton, South Australia by the end of 2018. The purpose is to preserve and perpetuate the history of the original "Red Devil" and Captain Harry Butler as part of the history of Australian Aviation, Minlaton and South Australia.
It is hoped to achieve the first public outing or presentation as a surprise fly-over on the day of the 100th commemorative anniversary at Minlaton for the first Adelaide Minlaton air mail service flown by Captain Butler. Commemorative displays will be held from time to time from then on. The 100th anniversary will occur on the 6th of August, 2019.
